An Update from the Education Department
We are delighted that Peter and Jess are able to extend their time within our Education Department, thanks to ACNI funding.
As Education Officers they are tackling a wide range of projects, from digital content to virtual workshops.
What have you enjoyed most about your time at Bruiser?
Jess: Apart from the brilliant insight into how Bruiser runs, being able to create projects from the ground up and see them through to completion has been my favourite aspect. The Brave & Bold Monologue Competition was particularly exciting to work on, as I saw the impact it had on young people across NI. Being virtual meant it was far more accessible to young people in rural areas, and I hope the feedback was genuinely beneficial to build actor’s abilities and confidence.
Peter: I’ve learnt so much since joining the company, and have gained great hands-on experience in everything from fundraising to project delivery. What I’ve enjoyed most is meeting new people and working to create resources for schools during an extremely difficult year. In the short time we’ve been with the company we’ve put together support material that will continue to benefit teachers and students for years to come.
We look forward to seeing the continued impact Peter and Jess have made since starting their role.
