Character / Multi-Roling Breakdown (age recommendation is flexible):
Male 1 (approx. 20-30 years) - Adrian Mole is the main character and also serves as narrator. He is 13 ¾ years old.
Male 2 (approx. 40 years) - George Mole is Adrian's father and married to Adrian's mother Pauline / Barry Kent is a bully at Adrian's school who beats Adrian up in exchange for money / Matron in Bert’s old people’s home.
Male 3 (approx. 40 years) - Bert Baxter is Adrian's foul-mouthed and strongly opinionated old age pensioner friend, whom Adrian has to look after as part of a school club he is part of / Nigel Partridge is Adrian's “cool” best friend / Mr 'Creep' Lucas is the Moles' former neighbour with whom Pauline has an affair.
Female 1 (approx. 40 years) - Pauline Mole is Adrian's mother, who leaves her husband George to live with her neighbour Mr. Lucas in Sheffield / Queenie Baxter is Bert Baxter's partner, who later becomes his wife.
Female 2 (approx. 30 years) - May 'Grandma' Mole is George Mole's mother and Adrian's grandmother / Pandora Braithwaite is Adrian's girlfriend / Doreen 'Stick Insect' Slater is a woman with whom Adrian's father George has an affair / Mrs Lucas is the wife of Mr Lucas and lives next door.

We will issue a short monologue from the script to be learnt for Stage 1.
Please prepare a short comedic modern monologue of your choice in a Leicester accent (no longer than 2 minutes duration).
Additional sides will be sent to you, which you may be asked to read with another actor at this stage.
Please prepare a verse and chorus of an 80s pop song with sheet music for piano accompaniment in the correct key.
