Summer School Level 1 2009Dates: Monday 29th June - Thursday 9th July 2009 Earlier this year young hopefuls auditioned throughout the province to become Bruiser students. They needed talent, enthusiasm and motivation.
The successful candidates completed a rigorous rehearsal period, learning a variety of physical theatre and vocal techniques under the excellent tuition of Lisa May, Ross Anderson, Colin Ash and Rachael McCabe. These budding thespians got to grips with the visually exciting, rhythmic and choreographic elements for which Bruiser is renowned. The focus of this showcase performance was ensemble playing, choral technique and physical precision.
The Summer School provided professional development in the theatre for young people, offering a taste of what it would be like to be a professional actor. Being a Bruiser actor is not easy, as our exhausted students can testify, but the cast of young 'Bruiserites' rose to the challenge superbly.
