Pick 'n' Mix 2009

Pick n Mix, Duke Special.

As part of 'Pick 'n' Mix 3' in June 2009, Bruiser presented a sneak preview of its Autumn 2009 production - an inventive and energetic staged reading of 'The Government Inspector' by Nikolai Gogol, adapted by Bill Scott (writer of 'The Case Of The Frightened Lady').

Pick 'n' Mix 2008

In 2008, Bruiser returned to Pick & Mix with a rehearsed reading of ‘The Case Of The Frightened Lady’ (which later received the full production treatment). Lisa worked with Michael Condron, Libby Smith, Peter Ballance, Richard Orr and Julie Maxwell to present the first act of this great comedy for Pick & Mix audiences at OMAC in Belfast.

Pick 'n' Mix 2007

Over the weekend of 18th-20th May 2007, Bruiser was delighted to continue its 10th Anniversary year with an exciting preview as part of The Pick & Mix Theatre Festival at Belfast's Old Museum Arts Centre, along with 11 other Northern Irish theatre companies!

The Pick & Mix programme described Bruiser's performance as follows:

Pick n Mix. Open your minds and join us on a fantastic journey of the imagination! Bruiser Theatre Company presents a sneak preview of its Spring 2008 touring production - Voltaire's 'Candide' adapted by Jo Mangan and Tom Swift, directed by Lisa May. Part rehearsed reading, part staged performance, this lively and funny extract from the final production will feature two of the cast of Bruiser's recent hit, 'The Canterbury Tales' - Patrick J. O'Reilly and Sarah Lyle, joined by performers new to Bruiser - Stephen Beggs, Doireann McKenna, Ross Anderson, Dearbhail Carr and Marie Irvine. The seven actors will play a diverse range of characters - Kings, Queens, Prime Ministers, Sheep, Executioners and Monkeys to name a few! 'Candide' opens a colourful storybook for audiences as our eponymous hero sets off in search of his sweetheart. Hold on to your hats!

Pick n Mix. Pick n Mix.
