So, it's the first week of our Summer Schools at The MAC and we have some budding actors who have shared their thoughts and feelings on their first few days with Bruiser!
I've really enjoyed meeting new people and making new friends at the Bruiser Summer School. I also have found that Bruiser has helped me enhance my drama skills; specifically, it's really helped me with my voice, because I have some trouble singing, but I feel that because of Bruiser, I have gotten better and am encouraged to keep working on it!
At the start of the week, I was really quiet and couldn't really raise my voice that loud, but because of how confident Bruiser has helped me to become, this is no longer a problem.
I've really enjoyed Bruiser because of how much it has pushed me to my limits when performing; also, because it's a really professional company, I feel it want to become more professional and because of Bruiser, I would feel a lot more comfortable trying to do that.
What I'm learning at Bruiser is a lot different to any kind of drama I have done before (because it's so much more 'physical') and this is something that I am very eager to learn about! It's been a challenge trying to keep up, but I can feel the progress which makes me happier in my performance.
Bruiser is so good for boosting your confidence! It's really good how it helps me to grow as a performer because it is such a challenge! Also, I find it has really helped me socially; I would have difficulty outside making friends and talking to people, but because of how Bruiser works, you almost have to talk to people to progress!
Because this is all new to me and completely not what I was expecting, I was a bit thrown at first, but soon found my feet. At first, I was expecting to be really musical based and all 'glee-y' but was really pleased and relieved to see there was more to it!
It's great to hear how these guys are getting on. Bruiser are loving having you on board!!
